Tamaki Collage Tech

Ohh yah going to Tech today” I said to Shoal . I couldn’t wait. Every Thursday the Year 7 and 8s from room 20, 21 and 22 make their way down to Tamaki College for Tech. We have three classes and go to one class every term. The 3 classes are Food tech, Hard Materials and Graphics. This term I'm in Graphics.

In graphics we were greeted by a Chinese looking man. He was holding a container jammed with paper, pencils and things that we use for graphics. His name was Mr Nobel. I could tell I was going to enjoy Graphics because I like to draw.


As I stepped into a new class I saw drawing, Materials for Art and Shelves full of Art books. It was a new environment for me. I couldn’t wait to start my first project.

Our first task was to draw our first and last name in any style we like. We could draw patterns objects anything we liked. I drew my name in block letters and drew inside of them. We could colour it in if we wanted to. It was going onto our folder that we put all of our drawings from this term into.


It wasn't long until we had to go back to school. It felt like it was only a while ago before we went. It was heaps of fun and I can't wait to go again on Thursday
