"Cool" I said to my self because today we were having a person come to our school to teach us about bike safety. The people who were teaching us about bike safety were Tony and Adrian. They came from a place called big Foot Adventures.

While Tony told us about safety precautions we all were listening attentively to get more information about the correct safety equipment. The safety equipment includes a safety helmet, bright visible cloths to wear and good footwear(shoes) to wear. Then we carefully adjusted our helmets so that it was tight and snug.

I carefully manoeuvred over the ramps and cones in the obstacle course.I kept on thinking that I would fall but I just kept on saying to myself "I will be OK". While wobbling and wiggling I was tiring to balance precariously. Then I finally made it and i was really happy.

Before long it was time that we had to swap and learn about a different type of strategy. The different type of strategy we were going to learn was for when we were on the road. If we needed to turn we learnt how we could use our indicator(hand signals). As Tony demonstrated how to do the indicator it looked so easy. He told us we had to count in our head ,while we were doing our hand signal we had to count for three seconds. we all said 1 banana 2 banana 3 banana before we turned.soon it was my turn. I did what I was told to do and I made it,maneuvering carefully while focusing on trying not to wobble and fall.

it was cool doing the Big foot Adventer. I hope that we can do it again
The End

  3. Hi Ashleigh,
My name is Luz Minaya and I am from New York City. I currently teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade. I came across this blog via an assignment from my college course. I would to stay in communication with your blog and also will like share your thoughts with my students.
I like the fact that you learned the safety techniques in riding a bicycle. I also ride a bike, even though in New York City is a a challenge with all the traffic but our mayor Mr. Michael Bloomberg has special routes in which anyone can utilize without fear of getting into an accident.

    Are you still riding??
    Sincerely,
    Luz
